Care instructions
Think of your tee the way you'd think of a record: it lasts a long time if you don't manhandle it, and it lasts about a week if you don't. Here's how to keep the print looking freshly pressed for as long as possible.
🧺 Washing
- Turn it inside out before it goes in, same idea as keeping a record in its sleeve.
- Cold or lukewarm water, gentle cycle. Nobody drops the needle at full volume either.
- Wash with similar colors for the first few washes, just in case.
- Skip the fabric softener. It can make the print feel stiff over time.
- Skip the bleach entirely. It doesn't mix well with the ink.
🌬️ Drying
- Air dry if you can, it's the single best thing you can do for the print.
- If you tumble dry, keep it low heat and keep it short.
- Don't dry it on a hanger while soaking wet, it can pull the shoulders out of shape.
- Reshape it flat while it's still a little damp if it's looking rumpled.
🔥 Ironing
- Iron inside out, low to medium heat.
- Never iron directly on the print. Heat and ink are not friends.
- Steam is usually enough to knock out light wrinkles without ironing at all.
🧵 Fabric
Every shirt is a Gildan 64000, pre-shrunk, unisex, relaxed fit. Most colors are 100% ring-spun cotton. Sport Grey and Dark Heather Grey are a cotton-poly blend, which is why they can feel very slightly different in the wash than the fully cotton colors, that's normal, not a defect.
Follow this and there's no real trick to it: cold wash, inside out, low heat, done. Still ended up with a shirt that looks off? Email us at milo@needledroptees.com and we'll sort it out.
